Bride Shoes

Don't worry, I am not getting married anytime soon; I'm only 21!

Every girl supposedly dreams about their wedding from a young age. To be honest, I haven't even given one thought to marriage or a wedding until last summer. I have no idea about what kind of dress I want (I even half-jokingly considered a black dress at one point), but I am pretty certain on the shoe I want to wear. Shoes are so much easier to select than clothing...

To me, the Manolo Blahnik 'Hangisi' is the ideal wedding shoe. I may have been influenced by watching too much Sex and the City, but it truly is a beautiful shoe. When I first saw photos of it, my immediate reaction was "yikes, how tacky". Then I saw the shoe in person, held it in my hand, and I fell more and more in love with it each time I examined the quality and beauty of it. So it wasn't love at first sight, but since when is love at first sight ever actually successful in the long run?

I haven't seen the Valentino Bow pump in person, but it caught my attention immediately when I saw it online. I have an instant attraction to any shoe that has a tasteful bow on it. I normally would not wear a red shoe, but it seems too boring to wear a black or a nude shoe during your wedding. I love the bow, but would like to see it in person. As of yet, I have not seen a red patent leather shoe that isn't obnoxious, but I have high hopes for this one.

But before I spend $900 on a pair of colored heels, I think it is important to ask the question if anyone even sees the shoes you wear underneath your wedding dress? Also important, get married to someone who makes you the happiest you've ever been and love them with all your heart forever.
