Intimate

I separate my underwear into two categories: everyday underwear and special underwear. Everyday underwear consists of underwear that I can wear under my everyday normal clothes. Special underwear consists of lingerie as well as "invisible" underwear such as Hanky Panky 'Bare' which works very well with clingy tight clothing where you want there to be zero chance of any panty lines or shifting happening.

Yesterday afternoon, I made the decision that there is no reason why a girl should have over 60 pairs of everyday underwear, so I tossed out all the pairs that were over a year old. This resulted in saying bye bye to most of my VS pairs which I have actually been trying to phase out for quite a while. I now have half the amount of underwear I started out with and I think it's the perfect amount for me to have. I have never been one to hand wash intimates, and I've thrown Hanky Pankys and Cosabellas in the washer/dryer countless times. I haven't had a problem with any color fading or lace stretching out so far. However, I read this the other day, and I think I am going to start hand washing from now on. Investing in quality underwear is important, but learning how to take care and maintain the quality of them is what makes the investment worthwhile.

I can't talk about underwear without talking about bras. The only bras I've owned since high school are VS ones. I hate them so much! They look cheap and are poorly constructed. Every style they carry seems to be padded and push up of some sort. I'm getting really sick of padded bras, they make me look fat and dated. They are fine with tees and certain dresses, but most clothing these days looks more chic without all the unnecessary cleavage. Enter my journey into the world of unpadded and no underwire bras. Lace seems to be the norm with these kinds of bras. I don't think they would be good to wear with tight and thin material t-shirts since the finish would not be smooth.

I was reading reviews of these online, and there seems to be a lot of questions about sizing. I am a 32C and size S fits perfectly for both styles. My friend is a 34B and XS fits the best for her. I strongly suggest going in store and trying them on if possible.

I've been eyeing a couple of Cosabella bras online, but since I have not had any experience with their bras before, I would feel more comfortable trying them on first. I'm hoping the quality and fit of them are as excellent as Cosabella panties. I'm going to New York this week, and they have a Cosabella boutique over there so I plan on trying out the following:

I haven't talked about lingerie much. All I have to say about lingerie is if you can afford Agent Provocateur or La Perla, they make the most gorgeous pieces! Both brands are way out of my budget though. To be honest, I don't think I could ever bring myself to spend $220 on a thong. So for now, all I can do is ogle at their pretty pieces online and stop in their stores to touch the beautiful fabrics they use.

Agent Provocateur 'Sandra' Set

This whole look would require you to shell out $760 *faints*. It's sexy in a $2000/hr escort sort of way lol.
